One of Jacksonville’s favorite holiday traditions is here! Over 214 talented local performers will perform in the sixteenth consecutive “The Nutcracker Ballet” produced by the Community Nutcracker, Inc. Each year, The Community Nutcracker, Inc. dazzles audiences with a beautiful, heartwarming production of a holiday classic while raising money for local charities. The proceeds from this year’s performances will benefit Dreams Come True, the First Coast’s only locally based nonprofit organization dedicated to fulfilling the dreams of children with life-threatening illnesses.

The performances will be December 6-8 at the historic Florida Theatre in Downtown Jacksonville. Tickets are available for the three public performances, Friday, December 7, 8:00 pm, and Saturday, December 8, 2:00 pm and 8:00 pm. A community sponsored Nutcracker Ballet, The Community Nutcracker, Inc., was established in 1992 and produced the first performance the same year. Supporting and maintaining the highest quality of artistic vision, The Community Nutcracker, Inc., utilizes only local community talent. Through previous performances, approximately $180,000 has been raised for local charities to further strengthen our community.

Founded in 1984, Dreams Come True has made dreams come to fruition for more than 1,900 children in Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia. Dreams Come True is unique in that 100 percent of all donations, unless otherwise specified, go directly to the dreams of children battling life-threatening illnesses.
